Rogue Male, Geoffrey Houseman
If you haven’t read it, there is a copy in each of the cottages. Widely recognised as one of the best fugitive novels of all time, much of the action is set in Chideock and if you take a walk up Hell Lane the descriptions in the novel will come alive.
